Philanthropy & Volunteers

If you shop amazon go to smile.amazon instead of just amazon and you can set up a non-profit to donate a % of everything you buy at no cost to you. I have been doing this and we got this letter.  If you where to do this to it would be a great help for our little non-profit unlike many non-profit we have no paid employees everyone is a volunteer.

Dear Charity Administrator,

This email is to notify you that Keepers of the Sacred Tradition of Pipermakers  has been issued a $14.19 donation from the AmazonSmile Foundation as a result of AmazonSmile program activity between October 1 and December 31, 2018. The donation was deposited to your organization's bank account on or before February 15, 2019. It may take several days for the donation to appear in the account.

Continue to drive donations to your organization with these two tips:
1. Receive in-kind donations with AmazonSmile Charity Lists
Your supporters can donate items directly to Keepers of the Sacred Tradition of Pipermakers by purchasing from your Charity Lists. You can create multiple Charity Lists and add almost any item sold at Amazon.com. To learn more about Charity Lists, sign in to http://org.amazon.com using your rona4641@yahoo.com e-mail address.

2. Engage your supporters during major shopping holidays
Many of your supporters do their holiday shopping at Amazon, so it's a great time to remind them to go to smile.amazon.com to generate donations for Keepers of the Sacred Tradition of Pipermakers. Plan ahead for the next big holiday: Mother's Day, on May 12.

  Volunteers -
It has been quiet around Pipestone lately no volunteers, lots of snow and cold weather.  Unlike many years in the past we continue to have a trickle of people in the store making sales every day.

Keepers is listed on the work away web site a place to connect people who want to volunteer with people looking for help.  We offer a place to stay and food to people who come and volunteer at the store or at our home.

We always have work to do from house cleaning/store cleaning to selling.  We would really like to have someone who does construction as we have a roof on the Keepers gift shop to replace, finish work, self building and more.

If you are interested in volunteering give us a message or call or open an account and contact us through

I wanted to welcome everyone to the Keepers group on our web site.  Some of you are members some are not all are interested in what we do or you would not have joined.

Our organization is made up of a diverse group of people from all nationalities including 35 tribal nations across the US and Canada.  We welcome all to our group and page and try to always respect everyone's views and ideas.

The organization supports many local Native American Indian artist by running our small gift shop where we sell authentic local hand crafted items.

I will try to start posting relevant articles and pictures since I just figured out how this worked and am learning by trial and error.
Have a beautiful day may Creator Bless You

    Rona Johnston Treasurer
I have been volunteering for the Keepers since 1998 and was elected Treasurer soon after becoming a member.  When I came to the Keepers there was no gift shop or newsletter.  I embraced the Keepers goals feeling a great need to preserve my native heritage and promote unity and prayer for all human beings. I have never wrote in a blog but hope to begin and learn with your input and help.
