Hand created smudging feather by Allen Monroe. These are made from hand dyed turkey feather and wrapped with leather. Many people use eagle feathers but they can not be sold or traded, also they require a permit from the US government to even own. Enrolled Tribal members can apply to the Department of Interior to get eagle feathers for ceremonial use.
